About KACC

Kerrville's Arts and Cultural Hub

KACC was founded in 1995 by a group of community artists with a mission of providing a show place for local artists, and furthering the arts and culture education of the community. The organization began its early years moving from one location to another, hosting art shows and art education.

With the help of James Avery and Bank of The Hills, KACC bought the Kerrville Post Office in July of 1999, and held the first show in March 2000. Ten years of renovations transformed the building’ interior into a beautiful functional art gallery, complete with adapt educational facilities.

KACC attracts over 20,000 visitors annually. The Center is comprised of sixteen affiliated groups representing over 500 artists including oil and water media painters, photographers, wood turners, quilters and more. Three distinct galleries house as many as forty exhibitions each year. The KACC gift shop further draws attention to the outstanding artists in the Kerrville community and gives them an opportunity to market their works of art.

With a vision of being the arts and culture anchor of a vibrant downtown area, the cultural hub of The Hill Country, and a nationally recognized arts destination, KACC continues to grow and expand it’s programs and services for local arts, artisans, and patrons of the arts.

Our Mission

The mission of the Kerr Arts & Cultural Center is to be a catalyst for enriching the cultural life of the community and supporting artists of the Hill Country through exhibitions, instruction in the arts and crafts, and educational programs for adults and young people. We welcome you to engage with, learn about, and enjoy our local arts and cultural heritage.
