Throughout the week, campers will enjoy reading the book Nim’s Island by Wendy Orr and doing ocean-themed art projects related to the book. Activities will include nature island sculpture, watercolor resist painting, print-making, texture collage, canvas painting, drawing, and more! Campers may bring their own snack/drink for snack time each day. Camp will be lead by Katie Whitten who is a certified English Language Arts teacher in Texas and has 6 years of experience teaching 2nd and 3rd grade. The book will be read aloud by the teacher, so it isn’t imperative that all campers know how to read.
