Our Summer Youth Art Camp 2017 is designed to take the student around the world, one project at a time! We will travel from the U.S.A to China, exploring art and cultures along the way. Each day, we will make an artwork using what we have learned about the people and places we have gone. Come take this journey with us!

Children’s Creative Book Club Camp

July 17th-21st, 2017


Ages 6-9

$125 per student

Throughout the week, campers will enjoy reading the book Nim’s Island by Wendy Orr and doing ocean-themed art projects related to the book. Activities will include nature island sculpture, watercolor resist painting, print-making, texture collage, canvas painting, drawing, and more! Campers may bring their own snack/drink for snack time each day. Camp will be lead by Katie Whitten who is a certified English Language Arts teacher in Texas and has 6 years of experience teaching 2nd and 3rd grade. The book will be read aloud by the teacher, so it isn’t imperative that all campers know how to read.

Children’s Theater Workshop

Instructed by Monika Lovelace and Saundra Kattawar

July 31st-August 4th, 2017

9:00am-12:00pm – A snack will be served each day

Ages 8-14

$85.00 per student

Students in this 5-day workshop will learn and execute the processes of producing a play, as well as perform their own part in the play A True Noble Knight written by Monika Lovelace. After class on the last day of the workshop, students will perform the play for friends and family. The performance will be followed by refreshments.
