“Images” is KACC’s annual members’ juried show, and is open to all KACC full members from Individual/Family up to Gold Level Membership. Non-members may enter at the non-member rate which includes KACC membership for the rest of 2014.

Artists may submit up to THREE pieces. Any original artwork created within the past two years and not previously shown at KACC is eligible. Artwork that has been done under instruction ( classes, workshops, etc) is not eligible, nor is artwork where source photos are not by the artist. Artwork based on patterns or kits is not eligible. Artwork must be no larger or heavier than one average person can carry.
Current members will be charged $25 for up to three pieces; the charge for up to three pieces for non-members is $45.
Paintings on Canvas/Panel; Paintings on Paper; Drawing/Pastel; Other 2 dimensional works; Sculpture; Jewelry; Other Fine Craft; Photography.
All artwork must be properly prepared for display prior to delivery to KACC. 2 Dimensional work must be framed and wired using non-coated wire with ends securely tapes. Glass larger than 16 x 20 is allowed ONLY on pastel & charcoal works. All fiber, jewelry, and other fine craft must be equipped with a proper and secure method of display or hanging that is appropriate for the medium. Display cases are available for jewelry or very small pieces. 3 Dimensional works must sit firmly on a base and must be without sharp or otherwise hazardous edges or projections.
KACC will use care handling all artwork; however, we cannot be held responsible for damage or loss. The submitting artists agrees as a condition of submitting their work that KACC has no responsibility for any such loss or damage. KACC may photograph your work for use in promotion and publicity, and KACC does not permit public photography in its galleries without specific prior permission from staff.
Jurying will begin promptly at 1 AM on Monday, July 28th. Artists will be notified by the end of the day if any of their work was not selected. Pieces not selected must be picked up on Tuesday, July 29th BEFORE NOON.
Diana James was born in Havre de Grace Maryland and moved to Kerrville in 2006 Her art experiences include working as an art instructor, art director, scenic artist, and creating commissioned drawings, murals and faux finishes. Working for such clients as the Chicago Bears and Sara lee Corp., she owned her own decorative art business in Chicago for 14 years. In 2006 she became the education director for the Museum of Western Art and coordinated the prestigious Western Art Academy for gifted high school art students until 2009.She is now employed by Schreiner University to teach drawing and creative thinking classes and works as a gallery assistant for Rivers Edge Gallery in Kerrville. She received her MFA in Fine Art from the San Francisco Academy of Art in 2013. Her latest work is on display at the Rivers Edge Gallery.
The Carolyn McBride Memorial Award will be awarded to the “Best Of Show”. Ribbons will be awarded in each category. Other cash and merchandise may be awarded. All awards will be at the judges’ sole discretion, and all decisions are final.
KACC retains a 30% commission on all artwork sold. Artists who have sold works will be paid by the end of the month following the close of the show. (The 2014 show ends August 24, so sales will be paid by the end of September 2014.)
