Painting for Beginners – Shading in Color

February 21 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Beginning Painting with Acrylics

This is a series of basic painting workshop on still life painting. Students will start a different painting for each class and learn basic skills such as shading, color mixing, and selecting your subject matter. Learn step by step how painters use the Elements of Art.

3rd Class: Shading in Color Mixing a pastel palette and an intense palette

Color mixing might sound easy but it can be very frustrating when complimentary colors don’t go well with your primary or analogous or tertiary colors! Learn how to mix and match and select  colors using this basic theory. A common still life set up will help you as you experiment 3 different ways to mix and match color schemes.

Instructor, Ren Trapino

A sampler of her works will be in the Cornels Gallery in January 2018.
